The owners of this immaculately maintained small house had already added on a master bedroom suite and finished the basement so they had plenty of living area. The problem was the kitchen was still closed off in its own little space. This made the living room, dining room and kitchen, three very small and separate spaces, which was fine in the 60's but it doesn't fit today's lifestyle. We opened it up to create a single living space that mimics the "living area" that you would find in a much larger home built today.
"I would love to redo my kitchen, but I don't know where to start." I have heard this over and over again, so I created this site to help answer the most common questions and get you started on the path to that kitchen you've always wanted. In the blog archive you will see lots of before and after photo sets of remodels that I designed. The video bar has a number of short videos where I answer the most common questions that I'm asked. I hope this helps, and I look forward to assiting you with a project of your own. Doug Daum The Louisville Kitchen Guy
